SCOTTISH

I have been travelling to Scotland to paint every year since 2014. I spend two weeks in one place, absorbing the landscape and painting daily (unless very wet). I usually stay on an island. This intense period of working feeds back into all my work when I return.

I travel by train, bus and ferry, the journey is all part of the experience. I have painted on Barra, Eriskay, Vatersay, Iona, Staffa, Mull, Tiree, Lismore and Eigg. And on the mainland, in the areas of Oban, Morar, and Plockon.
